Why a blog?

Posted By admin On Tuesday, March 18, 2008 @ 05:05 In Uncategorized | No Comments

Hebrews 11:13, 14

And confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things, declare plainly that they seek a country.

Why? Why would someone want to put their thoughts out there for the whole world to critique? Is it vanity? Pride? I am happy to say that it isn’t any one of these. This blog comes from the same place that many other personal blogs come from. A deep inbuilt human trait, given to us by the Creator, that causes us to want to connect with someone else. I am a pastor, by the very nature of the calling on my life I want to share what it is that the Holy Spirit is teaching me today. Because I am human I want to know if He is teaching anyone else around me the same lesson or is it even a different lesson to accomplish the same goal? I want to know if He has taught others the same things as He is teaching me or did He help someone get to the same place a different way? This blog should give the reader a snapshot of some of the conversation we at St. Paul’s Church are having whether it be in small groups, sermons or other gatherings. Yes, even a couple of faithful over coffee can quickly become a relational learning opportunity when we think about Christ being among us. My hope is that you will enjoy reading through Pilgrim’s Processing and be provoked to thought and response when reading through these blog entries. Please feel free to jump in anytime, register for an account, log in and then lets begin a conversation that the Holy Spirit can use to teach both of us.

In Christ,

Big Kahuna
